The Future Has Already Begun: Is Your Company Ready to Move?

I had the opportunity to attend the 10th edition of the América Digital Congress in Mexico, and honestly, I’m still processing everything I experienced. It was two intense days surrounded by brilliant minds, constant innovation, and a collective energy from those of us who understand that technology isn’t the future—it’s the present.

What Surprised Me the Most

Without a doubt, what struck me the most was seeing how Artificial Intelligence has shifted from being a topic of innovation to becoming a key business enabler. And this wasn’t just talk—it was backed by real-world cases, tangible implementations, and solutions already running in industries like retail, banking, telecommunications, and healthcare.

Listening to leaders like Mitch Lowe (Netflix), David Ruiz (Google Cloud), and Eduardo Hernández (Huawei Cloud) felt like receiving a direct dose of inspiration and reality. It wasn’t about theories—it was about how they are already transforming processes, products, and customer relationships through AI.

What Trends Stood Out to Me?

From my perspective, these were the strongest emerging trends at the event:

1.- Generative AI in Business

Generative AI is no longer just a “cool” tool to create images or text—it’s a strategic asset that creates value: from intelligent customer service agents to predictive models that support internal decision-making.

2.- Reinventing Fintech and Digital Payments

I was impressed by the evolution of solutions like “Buy Now, Pay Later”, integrated digital receipts, and automated loyalty programs. It’s clear that user experience is being completely redefined, and companies leading this revolution are embracing omnichannel strategies as the new standard.

3.- Telcos Becoming Techcos

One of the most fascinating shifts was seeing how traditional telecom operators are taking on new roles in mobility, cybersecurity, and smart cities. They no longer just connect—they now protect, analyze, and scale tech solutions.

4.- Cybersecurity + Quantum Computing

It may sound like science fiction, but it was amazing to see how companies are preparing for a future where hybrid cloud data must be protected with quantum technologies. This is next-level stuff.

What Does This Mean for Companies?

My conclusion is crystal clear: AI is no longer optional. Companies that don’t start exploring, implementing, and scaling AI solutions today are signing their own death sentence.

It’s not about doing everything at once—but about identifying the key areas where AI can have an immediate impact: sales, customer service, logistics, data analysis…
